Roles
Hanan Shtewi is one of the staff members at the department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Tripoli University. While working as a teaching assistant, I took a variety of classes at the zoology department's laboratory, including general zoology, entomology, physiology, histology, genetics, cell biology, invertebrate, and marine sciences. Also, I collaborated with the College of Medical Technology and the Faculty of Medical Science to teach the laboratory portion of general zoology for the preparatory stage and parasitology. Upon completion of my master's degree, I taught general zoology, fish biology, and fisheries. Following my doctorate, I taught general zoology, fisheries, fish biology, aquaculture, and scientific writing. I worked on the Study and Examination Committee of the Department of Zoology for about three years.
Careers
Since 1993, I have worked as a teaching assistant. In 2003, after earning a master's degree in zoology. On September 7, 2014, I earned a doctorate, and I continued to work as a lecturer until June 17, 2020. Research Interests
Research on the diversity of aquatic animals on the Libyan western coast, biology studies of some fish, and histological studies of some fish and shrimp species' liver. Studying some fish and shrimp biology within a research team that is interested in marine biodiversity.
External Activities
Examiner of master's theses, supervisor of master's students' projects, member of the Libyan Marine Sciences, member of the Libyan Society of Artisanal Fishery Friends, and member of Al-Shaheed, and interested in volunteer work because I have participated in several initiatives to raise awareness of Libya among the general public.
