Roles

Walid Ali Al-Marghani is a faculty member in the Training Department at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, head of the study and examinations department at the college, and director of the postgraduate studies office at the college. Mr. Walid Ali Al-Marghani has been working at the University of Tripoli as an Associate Professor since 10-01-2021 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization.- Member of the Postgraduate Studies Committee, Training Department, 2018-2020.- Chairman of the Administrative and Financial Committee of the Third International Scientific Conference 2020.- Head of the Study and Examinations Department at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Tripoli, 2020/2021.- Chairman of the Epidemiology Committee to combat the Corona epidemic in the college 2020/2021.- Director of the Office of Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Tripoli, 2021/2022

- Appointed as a faculty member in the Department of Physical Education / Teachers College (Currently Education) / Misurata University as of the date of commencement 10/30/2008.

- Assigned to head the Department of Physical Education / College of Teachers (Currently Education) / University of Misurata for several times during the years 2008/2010 when assigning the head of the department with other tasks.

Teaching the following subjects in the Department of Physical Education / College of Education / Misurata University. The materials are: (organization and management, research hall, volleyball, basketball, mathematical statistics, physical strength, in addition to supervising field training students) since the date of appointment.

- Teaching the following subjects in the Department of General Specialization (classroom teacher) / College of Education / University of Misurata. The subjects are: (Physical Education, Descriptive Statistics, Foundations of Scientific Research) for the two academic years (2008/2009), (2009/2010).

- Teaching the following subjects in the Kindergarten Department / College of Education / University of Misurata. The materials are: (Descriptive Statistics, Foundations of Scientific Research, Educational Evaluation and Measurement, Kindergarten Evaluation and Measurement) for the two academic years (2008/2009), (2009/2010).

He is currently working as a faculty member at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Tripoli after the issuance of a transfer decision issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (280) on 9/13/2015.

- He taught the courses of statistics, the research hall, and specialization for postgraduate students in the college.

Research Interests

He has published many scientific researches in scientific journals and conferences (such as the Journal of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Tripoli, the Journal of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Zawiya University, the Second International Scientific Conference of the College, and the Fourth International Scientific Conference at the Observatory in Tunis.

- Supervised several master's theses in the fields of sports management, nutrition and volleyball.

External Activities

- Administrator in the Libyan General Federation of Volleyball from 1999 to 2002.

- Director General of the committees operating in the first Arab championship for cup-winning clubs, which was held in Libya in 1999.

- Headed the Libyan national beach volleyball team delegation in the third African Championship held in Morocco in 2001.

- Administrative official of the Libyan national youth volleyball team selection camp in Tripoli in 2001.

- Rapporteur of the General Competitions Committee of the Libyan General Federation of Volleyball during the period from 2000 to 2002.

- Chairman of the Statistics and Evaluation Committee in the finals of the Premier Volleyball League competition in the city of Benghazi 2007.

- Member of the Statistics and Evaluation Committee in the 32nd African Volleyball Clubs Championship held in Tripoli / Libya 2013.

- A player in Al-Tarsana club in volleyball until 1998.

- Obtained the women's volleyball championship as a coach with Wasayah Abdiri club in 1997.

- Coach of the youth category at Wasayah Abdiri Club from 1998 to 2001.

- Coach of the youth category at Al-Tarsana Club from 2006 to 2008.

- Supervising the training of the first team of Al-Tahadi club in Misrata in the Premier League volleyball competition during the 2009/2010 sports season.

- Technical director of the youth teams (juniors, juniors, middle) for volleyball at Al-Tarsana Club from 2014 to 2017, and running for the finals in these categories every season.

With the Al-Tarsana team for the U-14 category, she won the third in the finals of the Libyan Championship for the 2014/2015 sports season.

With the Al-Tarsana team for the under-17 category, she ranked first in the western region and third in the finals of the Libyan Championship for the 2016/2017 sports season.

- Assigned by the General Basketball Federation to chair the Scientific Committee 2017 to date.

- Assigned by the General Basketball Federation to head the Analysis and Statistics Committee 2017/2018.

- Assigned by the General Federation of Basketball to prepare a strategy for the development of basketball.

- Assigned to chair the Public Competitions Committee by the General Basketball Federation 2021/2022.

- He was assigned to chair the technical committee for the basketball finals for the adult category 2021/2022.

- Assigned membership in the development committee and amending the general regulations for competitions in the General Basketball Federation 2022.
