Suad Al-Faqih is a permanent faculty member with the rank of Professor since 2019 in the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Tripoli, and teaches several subjects in the field of sports physiology, physical effort, sports nutrition, biochemistry and steroids, as well as a researcher and has many publications in scientific journals and conferences in the field of studying physiological changes in the body as a result of physical and sports exertion, which is her area of interest in addition to her interest in scientific research methods and the application of quality standards in academic institutions. Suad on many graduation research and worked as a supervisor and discussant of scientific theses in graduate studies for the universities of Zawiya and Tripoli, and as an arbitrator and scientific evaluator in scientific physical education journals and conferences at home and abroad as well as worked as an academic reviewer for promotion research in some universities in Libya, and participated in many lectures and courses held in many scientific forums such as Zawiya University, the Libyan Olympic Academy and the National Anti-Doping Committee .  

Careers

Souad obtained a university specialization certificate in 1989 and was appointed as a demonstrator at the Higher Institute of Physical Education for Girls in Zawiya by obtaining the first rank with honors on her batch throughout the period of her studies and obtained a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1992 and then sent to study for a higher scientific qualification and  awarded by Alexandria University  "Master" in 1996, and also sent tostudy for  the exact degree "PhD" and obtained it  in 2006 From Alexandria University, and after publishing many researches, scientific studies  and local and international participations, I graduated to obtain scientific degrees, so in 1997 I obtained an  assistant lecturer, in 2006 the degree of lecturer, and in 2009 the degree of assistant professor, then in 2015 I obtained an associate professor, then the current degree is a professor in 2019 after publishing many refereed research papers. Suad Al-Faqih held many administrative positions at the universities of Zawiya and Tripoli, including coordinator and rapporteur of the Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Physical Education in 1997, President of the Faculty Members Syndicate in 1997, a member of the Faculty Members Syndicate, Zawiya University, Head of the Department of Health Sciences and Movement Rehabilitation in 2007, 2011, 2018, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Zawiya University in 2011, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs at the Faculty of Physical Education, Zawiya University in 2019, and Coordinator of Graduate Studies Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy, University of Tripoli, 2021, and Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy, University of Tripoli, 2021, and participated in the chairmanship and membership of many committees in the field of physical education and sports sciences.

Research Interests

Suad worked several years ago to publish a set of papers and research in Libya, including  an intervention on sports and lunch for diabetics at the first and second meeting for diabetic children in 2008, 2009 at Zawiya Teaching Hospital, the first scientific symposium on disabled sports in 1997 in Misurata, the first scientific conference for disabled sports, the Libyan Arab General Federation for Sports for the Disabled in 2001 in Tripoli, the third annual scientific conference for sports medicine in 1999, and the scientific conference to study the reality of Libyan women's assumption of positions Sports Leadership 2018 with an intervention on the legal controls for women's practice of sports, and the third international scientific conference, Yarmouk University, Jordan 2009, and other scientific conferences at the universities of Tripoli and Zawiya, as well as academic supervision of several researches in  various fields of physical  education and sports sciences, the  most important of which are research in sports physiology, motor rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as as as an arbitrator and scientific evaluator in a number of scientific journals and conferences.

External Activities

Souad  participated in  many local and international entities from conferences and scientific committees to the membership of committees  and various activities, mostly in the field of sports sciences in the field of training participated in the number of supervisors and trainers of gyms at the level of the municipality of Tripoli People's Committee for Youth and Sports 1992 AD also participated in the numbers of school health supervisors in Zawiya in 2009 - 2010 AD also  participated as a collaborator in the rehabilitation and development of the capabilities of physical education teachers, at the Higher Institute for the preparation and rehabilitation of teachers Abu Issa    Zawiya, and Majd Al-Arab  - Tripoli in 1998-1999, and a member and supervisor of the Forum of outstanding students in the stages of basic education in the municipality of Zawiya in 2009, and a member of the Committee  to study a proposal for the evaluation of faculty members submitted by the Office of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at Zawiya University in 2010, Chairman of the Medical and Ambulance Committee in the first liberation championship for futsal at the level of Libyan and Arab universities in 2012, Member of the Planning and Sports Development Committee of the Libyan Olympic Committee in 2009 and currently working as a member of the Education Committee And awareness of the National Committee to combat doping.
