Roles

Al-Fituri Muhammad Muhammad Hassan Al-Zayani is a member of the teaching staff in the Department of Sharia, Faculty of Sharia Sciences in Tajoura, University of Tripoli. I currently work as a head lecturer in the Department of Sharia and worked as an acting dean during the dean’s leave, as well as head of the disciplinary committee at the college. I have taught a number of Sharia subjects, including family law, jurisprudence of transactions, principles of jurisprudence, contemporary jurisprudential issues, principles of interpretation, Islamic culture in addition to the Holy Quran, and Islamic doctrine.

Careers

I worked as a professor at a number of Libyan universities, where I am currently working as a lecturer and head of the Sharia Department since 2020 AD, and before that at Al-Marqab University between 2008 and 2019. I also cooperated at the Faculty of Sharia Sciences in Mislata, Al-Asmariya University, and I also cooperated for a semester at the Faculty of Education, Janzour, before moving to the University of Tripoli.

Research Interests

Mr. Al-Fitouri has a number of research interests in the field of Islamic sciences, especially in Islamic jurisprudence, jurisprudence of transactions, interpretation and doctrine.

External Activities

I work as a Quran memorization supervisor at the Tajoura Endowments Office, an imam, a legal notary, a preacher, a member of the Shura Council, and a judge at the Tajoura Partial Court.
