Teaching students in the fourth and fifth years internal medicine and infectious diseases, and preparing the student to be able to deal with sick cases and outbreaks when they occur, through theoretical lectures, practical exercise ( receiving sick cases in the college hospital, as well as going out to the outpatient clinic and to cow and sheep  breeding projects).

Research Interests

Abdel Nasser’s research interests are in the field of infectious and internal medicine diseases in farm animals and pets, as well as the zoonotic diseases between animals and humans.  

Study of external internal parasites that infect pets and farm animals.

Study of bacterial and viral diseases from several aspects: their economic importance, their impact on humans, their impact on the environment and other animals. The rate of their spread between cities, other countries and continents, and the economic cost of combating, treating and controlling them.

Studying the pathogenesis of these diseases, how they occur, the factors that influence and help them to induce the diseaes. The important protein structures responsible for causing the disease.

Studying the interaction of the body, represented by the immune system and its cells, with viral and bacterial pathogens, the extent of the immune system’s success in eliminating the disease, and the reason for its failure or delay in doing so.

Study and compare some anatomical characteristics, structural and genetic structures in the bodies of the same or other species, and the extent of their impact on animal productivity, the strength of giving, and the ability to tolerate some diseases and not others.

External Activities

In addition to teaching and scientific research at the University of Tripoli, Abdl Nasser teaches some courses related to his specialization in some other universities and higher institutes as a volunteer or collaborator, as well as, supervising the research of bachelor’s students, providing scientific advice to postgraduate students in their research, and analyzing the problems that they face.
