Description

It is through studying courses with a total of 24 study units to study compulsory and elective courses over a period of 2 to 3 semesters, followed by specialized scientific research with a total of 6 study units for the thesis. The legal period required to obtain a master’s degree ranges from 24 months according to the Graduate Studies Regulation No. (501) for the year 2010 AD .

Objectives

The study program aims to obtain a high degree in the specialization of pathology and laboratory diagnosis to study the methods, basics and strategies of pathology and laboratory diagnosis on the basis of advanced scientific knowledge specialized in this field.

Outcomes

a. Knowledge and understanding:

  • That the student be able to identify the diagnosis of diseases based on the characteristic, observations of the anatomical character and pathological changes in the tissues.
  • The student should familiarize himself with the appropriate sampling methods for conducting various laboratory tests.
  • The student will be familiar with the different methods of diagnosing diseases.
  • The student should know the nature of diseases and how they occur, in addition to writing diagnostic scientific reports.
  • That the student be able to identify the diagnosis of diseases based on the characteristic, observations of the anatomical characteristic and pathological changes in the tissues.
  • B. Mental skills:

  • The student's ability to describe the pathological changes in the various organs and tissues.
  • The student's ability to write reports on anatomical characteristics and laboratory test results.
  • The student's ability to interpret laboratory results, analyze them and link them to the diagnosis of the disease.
  • The student's ability to develop the mechanism of disease occurrence and its diagnosis.

  • C. Practical and professional skills:

  • The student can conduct an anatomical characterization and observe pathological changes in the various tissues.
  • The student can choose the samples needed to conduct the various laboratory tests.
  • The student can perform various laboratory tests that help in diagnosing diseases.
  • The student can link laboratory results to samples and write scientific reports.
  • The student can perform the anatomical character and note the pathological changes in the different tissues.
  • D. General and transferable skills:

  • The student should be able to communicate with clinics, hospitals and legal entities.
  • The student should be able to write a diagnostic report so that the competent authorities can take the necessary measures to prevent and treat diseases.
  • The student should be able to receive the samples in the correct way and perform the appropriate tests for the different pathological samples.
  • The student should be able to collect and study the results and identify how the disease occurred and how to control it.

    Entry Reuirements

    1. The conditions stipulated in the General Regulations for Postgraduate Studies No. (501) for the year 2010 AD are applied.

      In addition to the following conditions:

    2. The student must have obtained a bachelor's degree in veterinary medical sciences from one of the colleges recognized locally and internationally

    3. To pass the initial entrance exam, which is given by the Postgraduate Studies Office in the college

    4. To pass the personal interview test conducted by the department.

    5. To comply with the general conditions for admission according to the Postgraduate Studies Regulation No. (501) for the year 2010 AD.

    Study Plan

    The Master in Pathology prepares students to qualify for Master in Pathology. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

    It comprises 3 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 30 units, which include 4 units of general subjects, and 18 major units, 2 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
