Professor ABDULHAKIM ELMAGHRBI is one of the staff members at the department of Microbiology and Parasitology. Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Tripoli - Libya since of 2000. He teaches several subjects for students of bachelor and master degree and has several publications in the field of his interest (External and internal parasites of domestic and wild animals).
Careers
Before joining the University of Tripoli, he worked as a veterinarian supervising the cattle breeding station at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (1985). Researcher at the Technical Centre for Environmental Protection at the Ministry of Health (1985-1987). Supervising doctor at the Zoo - Tripoli (1987-1989). Member of the Wild Animal Selection Committee from Germany (1988). Researcher at the Technical Research Centre (1989-1995). Supervising doctor at the Zoo - Tripoli (1995-1999). Member of the Selection and Supervision Committee for the Import of the Lama from the Republic of Bolivia (1998). Since 2000, he has been a faculty member at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine until now. Director of the Faculty Affairs Office and Member of the Faculty Affairs Committee at the University (2009-2010). And Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University (January 2013 - December 2014). Head of the Research, Consulting and Training Department at the College and Member of the Research, Consulting and Training Committee at the University (2015-2016). Member of the Higher Committee for the Registration of Veterinary Medicines, Preparations and Supplies at the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources 2009-2012. Chairman of the Committee for Reviewing the Standard List of Veterinary Medicines, Preparations and Supplies Used in Libya 2010. Member of the Specialized Committee for Evaluating Research Submitted for the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development Award for Scientific Creativity in the Field of Agriculture for the Year 2009. Cairo - Arab Republic of Egypt 23-25 Rabi' (February) 2009 Member of the Committee for Reviewing and Studying the Scientific Foundations of Wild Animal Nutrition and Proposing a Program for Safety Supervision and Nutrition for the Zoo (2011). Editor-in-Chief of the Libyan Journal of Veterinary Medicine and Medical Sciences (2014-2017).
Research Interests
More than 27 years as a main lecturer and also as a collaborator, dedicated to teaching and research tasks, supervising master's theses and interested in research in the field of identifying external and internal parasites that infect animals and birds and have an impact on the health of animals and birds and productive capacity.
External Activities
More than 27 years as a senior lecturer and also as a collaborator in the Faculty of Science, University of Zawia and University of Al-Marqab, and full-time teaching and research duties and supervisor of master's theses and currently also a doctorate in the Faculty of Science, University of Zawia. He has published regularly on many researches in the field of parasitology and also participated as an external examiner on master's theses and evaluated a master's thesis in the Faculty of Science, University of Misurata and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Omar Al-Mukhtar University.
