Dr. Imad A.B Benlashehr is a staff member at the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Poultry Diseases, since 2020. He teaches the theoretical and practical aspects of poultry diseases for fifth year students. Always, He is keen on field visits with students to qualify them for field work based on scientific foundations to safe breeder and the consumer. Usually, he is present in the poultry laboratory and college's veterinary hospital to provide all veterinary services to poultry breeders and ornamental bird breeders. In addition, he is interested in monitoring the path and health of migratory birds across the Libyan lands. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Imad focus in all scientific forums and official forums to show the important role of poultry industry to saving Libyan food.
Careers
Dr. Imad Benlasher born in 1977 in Tripoli - Libya, is married and has children. In 2001-2002, he obtained a Bachelor's degree from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Tripoli - Libya. In 2003, he held the position Head of Health Inspection Unit for Souk Al-Jumaa, Zanata, Al-Farnaj, and Aian-Zara. In 2004, He moved to work at the Biotechnology Research Center as a researcher in the Department of Microbiology. In 2008, Dr. Imad obtained a master's degree in the field of poultry diseases and management of poultry farming projects from the University of the European Union, Burban, in Toulouse, France. In 2013, He obtained his doctoral degree in poultry diseases, toxicology, genetics, and nutrition from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Toulouse, France, under the supervision of National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INP Toulouse). In2020, Dr. Imad enrolls academic teaching at the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Poultry Diseases until today.
Research Interests
Dr. Imad believes that the scientific research is the only way to solve the problems of poultry breeders and feed factories and to protect the consumers. In addition, Dr. Imad has a cumulative experience more than 20 years in the field of treating poultry diseases, which enabled him to participate in solving the problems of the poultry industry in Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Canada, France and Spain by scientific methods through laboratory analysis, some of laboratory results were published in international journals such as AVIAN DISEASES, POULTRY SCIENCE, CHEMICO-BIOLOGICAL INTERACTIONS.
External Activities
Dr. Imad provides the economic and marketing plans on poultry industry to the public and private sectors in the Libyan through the workshops and scientific conferences. He is also conducting continues studies on the future of the poultry industry by 2040 in Libya. Dr. Imad is also considered as scientific reference for students interested in the poultry sector from different faculties of veterinary, agricultural, economic and business administration.
