Amar Al-Shamam has been a faculty member in the Department of Crop Sciences / the Faculty of Agriculture / University of Tripoli since 08/29/2010. He obtained his PhD from the University of Nottingham / United Kingdom on 05/26/2020. He works as a lecturer for university courses. He has many scientific publications in his field of specialization in several refereed scientific journals. He is the head of the Stations and Research Committee at the Faculty of Agriculture 2020. He is the head of the Graduate Files Review Committee in the department of 2020. He is the quality coordinator for the 2021 department. He is the Postgraduate Studies Coordinator in the department 2024.

Amar Alshmam works as a lecturer for university courses, a member of the stations and research committee at the College of Agriculture 2020, head of the committee for reviewing graduate files in the department of crop sciences 2020, and a quality coordinator in the department of crop sciences 2021.

Research Interests

Mr. / Dr Amar Alshmam is interested conducted scientific researches in the field of bio-fertilization as a safe alternative to chemical fertilizers to reduce production costs and maintain a healthy and clean environment. Amar published scientific researches in many scientific journals, such as the Misurata University Journal of Agricultural Sciences, and Al-Namaa Journal of Science and Technology - Al-Zaytouna University - Tarhuna. The use of the antagonistic effect of leaf extracts as a biological control of weeds. He also participated in the International Scientific Conference on Engineering and Science, Bani Walid University 2022, with a theme on plant production.

Dr. Amar Omran Alshmam contributed to many works outside the university, including:

A training course in the field of organic agriculture and the pattern of organic transformation in olive oil, held in Msallath, January 2020. Sponsored by the Specialized Al-Zaytouna Association, Msallath, with the German Foundation for International Cooperation (GIZ) (participation).
