Professor Dr. Ahmeda Al-Garari Alzagtat, worked as a faculty member in the Department of Food Science and Technology since his appointment on 01-09-2010 and he graded in the academic levels until he reached the degree of a professor. He teaches courses for undergraduate and master's students in the department. Committee member for visualization of reference laboratory at the University 2016, as a member of the Biomedical Technology Laboratory Committee at the University of Tripoli 2017. Chairman committee of laboratories in the Department of Food Science and Technology 2018- now, Chairman of the Committee to fulfill the documents for the scientific promotion in the department since 2022- now.

Careers

Prof. Dr. Ahmeda Algrarri Alzagtat worked as a researcher at the Industrial Research Center (IRC) during the period from 1983-2010 and he analyzed thousands of samples in the field of food industries in the laboratories of the food industries department and conducted many research and scientific studies as well as participation in many technical and economic feasibility studies. Also, represented the IRC in many committees at the level of the center and Ministry of Industry. After his appointment on 01-09-2010 in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the Faculty of Agriculture / University of Tripoli, he taught number of scientific courses in his field of specialization for graduate, postgraduate students, and included in the academic steps until a professor's degree reached in May 2023. He is now supervising on four students from a master’s degree and graduated from five students in various fields of his specialty. He published about 20 scientific papers in international, Arabic and Libyan journals, and participated in many committees within the department, the college and the university.

Research Interests

Prof. Dr. Ahmeda has interests in his general specialization in food and technology and in his specialty of food chemistry and food analysis, he teaches some scientific courses such as food chemistry, food analysis and equipment analysis in the field of food science for undergraduate and master's students. He has done several scientific researches.

External Activities

Prof. Dr. Ahmeda, in addition to his official work as a professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the Faculty of Agriculture University of Tripoli as cooperative work, he worked as a Chairman of the Libyan Quality Mark Committee for Al-Naseem company during the period from 2010-2015. In addition, he supervising the Committee of development and renew standards for juices and beverage at the National Center for Standards and meteorology since 2019 until now. He supervised a student at the Libyan Academy for High studies in Jenzour and graduated in 2009, as well as supervised a student at the Faculty of Science Al -Zawiya University and graduated in 2021.
