Roles

I currently hold the position of Head of the Department of Aquaculture at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli. In addition to the duties of the head of the department, I teach some undergraduate courses in theoretical and practical lessons and all work related to course exams, as well as academic supervision of students, including guiding and advising them in choosing basic and elective courses, in addition to supervising graduation project research for undergraduate students. Participating in the quality localization program within the departments and preparing the necessary periodic reports required by the college or scientific department, and filling out questionnaires and forms related to that. Also participating in conferences, seminars and scientific and academic meetings, whether inside or outside the college, according to the available capabilities.

Careers

Worked as a demonstrator in Department of Aquaculture\Faculty of Agriculture\University of Tripoli from 2002 to 2007, and also a collaborator to teach the practical general parasitology course for students of the Department of Surgery and Anesthesia\Faculty of Medical Technology\University of Tripoli from 2004 to 2006, then I got a scholarship abroad to study for a master's degree. Worked as a collaborator to teach courses of aquatic diseases and freshwater environment for students of the Biology Department\Faculty of Sciences and Arts\University of Al-Margeb from 2012 to 2015, then I was appointed as a faculty member in the Department of Aquaculture\Faculty of Agriculture\University of Tripoli from 2017 to the present, I was assigned many tasks within the department, the most important of which are the study and examination committee in the department and the quality and performance evaluation committee in the department. I have currently been appointed as the head of the Department of Aquaculture

Research Interests

The most important research interests are in the field of fish diseases and bacterial diseases of fish, pollution of the marine environment and common diseases transmitted from fish to humans.

External Activities

Participation in some courses of Deep Blue Organization, and also a referee for some research at the Marine Biology Research Center, Tripoli.
