Ebtisam Omar Muhammad Al-Nwairi, a faculty member in the Department of Counseling and Psychotherapy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli. Mrs.Ebtisam Al-Nwairi has been working at the University of Tripoli as a lecturer with the rank of professor since 2018. She has many scientific publications in her field of specialization and is interested in teaching psychological subjects and research methods in the master’s and doctoral programs. She has evaluated and discussed scientific theses, and has many tasks at the college level.

Careers

She held the position of teaching assistant in 1986, obtained a master’s degree in educational psychology in 1993, entitled (Environmental and social conditions and their impact on the mental health of food industry factory producers in Tripoli). She obtained her doctorate in 2002 from the Kingdom of Morocco, with distinction and first class honors, entitled (Personal and mental traits and environmental conditions and their association with internal injuries). I have an International Computer Driving License (ICDL) 2011. I have been teaching since 1993. The most important subjects I have taught include mental health, developmental psychology, psychology, educational psychology, psychology of special groups, measurement and evaluation, personality theories, cognitive psychology, psychology. Experimental, psychopathology.

I studied subjects for the master’s and doctoral levels, including research methods, studies in psychology, gay psychology, and applied psychology. I was assigned the duties of distance education in 2010, and during my academic career I held many positions and tasks, including Head of the Department of Education and Psychology 2008, Managing Editor of the College Magazine 2020, Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies for the Department of Education and Psychology 2010, Head of the Department of Counseling and Psychotherapy 2018, Director of the Postgraduate Studies Office 2021, Current position: Faculty member in the Department of Counseling and Psychotherapy and member of the Appeals Committee.

Research Interests

The focus of my research interest is psychological issues and scientific research methodologies. I was assigned the task of evaluating many research papers in a number of peer-reviewed journals. I conducted studies at the level of the city of Tripoli, including an industrial survey study in 1986, and a study on slums in 2007, and I conducted some studies, including:- The level of creative thinking of new students in the Faculties of Arts and Economics at the University of Tripoli.- Psychology of working women.- Comparing the level of psychological toughness among primary, middle, and secondary school teachers, “a field study at the Andalus District Education Office in Tripoli.”- Psychological burnout and its relationship to job satisfaction, “A study on faculty members at the College of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir, Tripoli.”

She also supervised many seminars and conferences:- Higher Education and Development Symposium, under the slogan “Towards Higher Education that Embodies Freedom and Progress,” in the period from April 12-14, 2004.- A symposium on childhood under the slogan “Towards a real investment in the creative child” in the period from 6/30-31/2005.- A symposium on the joint Arab-African historical heritage, sponsored by the People’s Committee for Culture and Information in the Tripoli District, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Association of Student Associations at the University of Tripoli (formerly Al-Fateh), in the period 12/16/2005.It organized and supervised cultural lectures during the period 2008-2010, including:- Women between self-negativity and surrounding positivity.- Women and contemporary trends.- Interconnection strategies.

External Activities

In addition to her work as a faculty member, Dr.Ebtisam Al-Nwairi carries out some inspirations, jobs, and scientific activities outside the university, including:     Supervising and discussing some scientific theses at master’s and doctoral degrees in various Libyan universities, including the Academy of Graduate Studies.     Participation in the industrial survey project at the level of (Libya) in 1996.    Transcribing, analyzing and discussing some questionnaires about slum areas in the city of Tripoli (off-plan), a field study for the year 2007.    Reviewing, auditing and editing scientific research in various academic journals.
