First of all, I would like to extend my utmost appreciation, respect, and sincere thanks to all the faculty members and all the administrative staff at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tripoli, especially the dear faculty members of the Department of Musical Arts for their efforts to advance the department. I also extend my sincere thanks and utmost respect to our professors who have been the best help and guide for us throughout our educational attainment and who have exerted all their efforts and time to advance the department since its establishment in 1977 AD. And here we are, today, completing the educational process that they started, making every effort to prepare specialists in the fields of music and musicology according to integrated study programs that guarantee obtaining the scientific degree granted by the college, and contribute to spreading scientific culture and providing scientific and artistic advice.

Vision

The Department of Musical Arts seeks, during the coming years, to achieve quality and excellence, and to assume a prominent position on the map of university education in its various fields (education - scientific research - community service and development) and to work to graduate students who are able to compete in the labor market, by providing a distinguished environment for teaching and learning in addition to Create appropriate opportunities for scientific research.

Mission

The Department of Musical Arts graduates students in the fields of Instrumental Playing, Sound Engineering, and Musical Education to meet the needs of educational institutions and artistic projects while providing them with the foundations of knowledge and skills in accordance with international standards and the requirements of educational institutions in the field of music and musicology with full awareness of the problems of society and the environment and its needs. The department's message extends to include raising the capabilities of graduates by offering bachelor's and master's programs, as well as the department's contribution to enriching applied sciences through original research, working on community service, developing the environment, providing professional consultations, and working with various agencies to advance society artistically and culturally.

Objectives

The Department of Musical Arts seeks to achieve a number of goals, the most important of which are:

  • Graduates qualified to teach music in the basic and intermediate stages.
  • Graduating specialists in playing various musical instruments, enabling them to work in orchestras affiliated with various public and private sectors.
  • Graduating specialists in sound engineering with high capabilities that enable them to operate audio recording studios, record songs and music tracks, and record outdoor concerts.
