Abdulkarim Kendeer is one of the teaching assistants in the Department of Art and Music Education at the Faculty of Education, Al-Fateh University (formerly). He obtained a master's and a PhD in Applied Arts and is a faculty member in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, holding the rank of Associate Professor. He was appointed Head of the Department of Applied Arts from 2001 to 2007, Director of the Faculty Members Office at the college, and Chairman of the Tripoli University Coordination Committee. Finally, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Media at the University of Tripoli for two separate terms, from 2013 to 2016 and again from 2017 to 2021.

The professor was interested in studies and research on antiquities, and he had several published researches, in addition to participating in the field survey of Libyan crafts and industries throughout all regions of Libya, which was printed in five parts, in addition to participating in the scientific symposium on traditional industries in Libya and Tunisia. He also had many contributions, the most important of which was preparing for the year The law to support and protect traditional industries proposed by the Ministry of Tourism of the National Unity Government in Tripoli and presented to the Libyan Parliament for adoption
