Roles

Amina Rajab Elsalhin is a faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Amina Rajab has been working at the University of Tripoli as a professor at the Faculty of Dentistry since 12/15/2024 Where she prepares and delivers lectures and practical lessons for dental students and trains students in educational clinics on various dental techniques and continuously strives to develop skills and knowledge by participating in workshops, training courses and following up on recent developments in the field of dentistry and applying them in academic and clinical practice, as well as participating in scientific conferences and submitting research papers.She also develops and updates curricula to keep pace with scientific and technical progress and participates in academic and administrative committees within the college, such as curriculum development committees. She has many scientific publications in her field of specialization. She currently holds the position of Director of the Postgraduate Studies Office at the college, where the study plans for postgraduate programs are prepared and reviewed periodically and the implementation of academic programs is followed up and their commitment to academic standards is ensured, as well as supervising the process of accepting students into graduate programs and supervising the preparation and submission of theses and scientific dissertations. It is also important to ensure that the academic resources and facilities necessary for the implementation of academic and research programmes are provided.

Careers

I start working as staff member at Faculty of Dentistry,Tripoli University since 14 years ago and my principal role as a lecturer was teaching undergraduate students ( teaching and research) in department of fixed prosthodontics.

Currently I am Professor were I have published many articles and working with various colleagues. When I started working at the faculty of Dentistry,I have appointed several positions. From 2008-2010 I worked as a lecturer, 2011-2015 I was appointed as a coordinator in fixed prosthodontics, then from 2016-2017 I have been appointed as the  head of prosthodontics department.

 I have been appointed as the head of Research consulting and training department from 2018-2022. I spent four years working at the research department and my role was related to the encouragement and support of university research were I arranged many courses related to dental activities

I am currently hold the position of Director of the Post-graduate Studies Office at the College, where the study plans for postgraduate programs are prepared and reviewed periodically, the implementation of academic programs is followed up and their adherence to academic standards is ensured, as well as supervising the process of accepting students into graduate programs and supervising the preparation and submission of theses and dissertations. The tasks also include ensuring the provision of academic resources and facilities necessary to implement academic and research programs.

Research Interests

My research areas were related to dental science.I have published many research papers in local and international journals. the main areas of research I have focused on is fixed prosthodontics as my speciality also I interested in researches related to student performing and achievement. in addition I have published one book related to dental instruments, and another book under review. currently all my attention in digital dentistry were  I have attended courses related to Dental cad

External Activities

Over the past years I have been a regular external examiner at Libyan Academy of postgraduate. I have also participated in many conferences as a keynote speakers and as scientific committee member. I have been chosen as an evaluator of Libyan Innovation Prize. Currently I am an authorized Trainer of DentalCad. I have also contributed to reviewing several manuscripts from different universities, and also have been a reviewer in some journals.
