Roles

D. Adel Najar has been working as a faculty member in the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Economics since his appointment on 02/22/2001. He assigned to teach many accounting courses such as advanced accounting, managerial accounting, accounting information systems, oil accounting, tax accounting, public funds accounting, financial statement analysis, and accounting principles. Mr Najar also assigned to the final exam monitoring committees for many years. In addition, he supervised many graduation projects and participated in the evaluation of many graduation researches for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Accounting field. The primary roles now for Mr. Najar are as a researcher, lecturer, and master’s supervisor. He has many scientific publications in his field in many recognized and peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Careers

Mr. Dr. Adel Najar worked as a senior accountant at the Libyan Fishing Company affiliated with the Libyan Ministry of Marine Waters for five years before joining the faculty of economic at Tripoli University as a lecturer on 02/22/20001. Dr.Naja r received a promotion to the position of assistant professor on 01/10/2017 and then an associate professor on 10/17/2021.

Research Interests

Mr. Najar has various research interests, the most important of which relates to the specialty of auditing, both internal and external, as well as international auditing standards. In addition, there is an interest in research in the field of accounting information systems and accounting for the forms contracts in Islamic banks. Dr. Najar works with a group of researchers and colleagues to collaborate in related research fields.  He has participated in many conferences and seminars related to his research interests.

External Activities

 Dr. Adel  Najar is a certified member of the Libyan Accountants and Auditors Syndicate and has held a license to practice accounting and legal auditing since 2003. He has reviewed and approved many financial reports for several public and private entities. He also participated, with some professional colleagues in other offices, in evaluating several public government agencies for the purposes of re-evaluating assets and market value for the purpose of privatization, as commissioned by the General Authority for Ownership. Mr. Najar also worked in the field of financial consulting for some bodies, including the Council of Medical Training Deanships affiliated with the Ministry of Health, Al-Fouad Medical Services Company, and Al-Baraka Foodstuff Industry Company. In the training field, Mr. Najar implemented many training courses in the field of preparing the general estimated budget, closing the state's final accounts, and designing documentary cercal and accounting systems for many government agencies such as the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Electricity Company.
