Careers

Dr. Bashir Elbussefi  started working at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science as an assistant lecturer on May 2, 2005, then he was promoted to associate professor on October 17, 2021

He is currently teaching accounting and auditing subjects at the bachelor's and master's levels, and he is currently working as a researcher and supervisor of master's theses in the college. He has published many researches in refereed journals and has many research participations in scientific conferences.

He previously worked as head of the accounting department in the college for eight semesters. He was also assigned during this period to the Deanship of the College of Economics. Support scientific research and training. He has implemented several courses in the field of international financial reporting standards and international and internal auditing standards for companies, banks and public entities.

Research Interests

A researcher who prepared and published scientific research in the field of accounting in various scientific journals. His research interests are broad in the field of accounting, but mainly in the field of financial accounting, auditing and Islamic accounting. He is currently working on a number of scientific papers on accounting and financial auditing.

External Activities

Over   of 22 years, Dr. Bashir Elbussefi has cooperated in the field of teaching in many university colleges as a result of the shortage in faculty members. He also prepares and presents many financial courses for companies, banks and public agencies aimed at developing and qualifying employees in those agencies. In the professional accounting field, he prepares the financial statements for the economic units, as well as reviews the financial statements.
