Roles

As a faculty member in the English Department at the College of Education, University of Tripoli – Janzour, I carry a variety of important responsibilities that contribute to the academic and professional development of students, as well as to the advancement of scholarly research and community service.

One of my primary tasks is to prepare and deliver lectures and practical lessons in English language, literature, linguistics, and applied language studies. I strive to design my courses to meet the needs of diverse learners, employing modern teaching methodologies and educational technologies to enhance student engagement and comprehension. I continuously update course materials to reflect recent developments in the field of English studies and pedagogy.

Additionally, I am responsible for the creation, administration, and grading of exams and assignments, ensuring fair and objective assessments of student progress. I supervise practical training and teaching practicum sessions, guiding students through real classroom experiences to bridge theoretical knowledge with practice.

Research is a critical part of my role. I conduct academic research in areas related to English language teaching, literature, or linguistics. This involves writing research papers, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings at local and international conferences. I also provide academic supervision and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students working on their theses and research projects.

Beyond teaching and research, I actively participate in the academic community by serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. Collaboration with colleagues helps enhance the academic environment and supports continuous improvement.

Furthermore, I engage in community outreach activities by organizing workshops, language courses, and awareness programs aimed at improving English language proficiency and cultural understanding in the local community.

Through these multifaceted responsibilities, I contribute to the mission of the University of Tripoli to provide high-quality education and produce graduates who are well-equipped to meet future challenges in a globalized world.

The researcher had several international contributions, including presenting a research paper in the field of vocabulary learning strategies, at the academic conference specializing in the English language at the University of Putra Malaysia. 

The concerned person also participated in several workshops specialized in statistical programs that generally help researchers in analyzing research data in their various fields, and among of  these programs are the SPSS and AMOS programs in Malaysia
