Since being appointed as a faculty member at the university, I have undertaken a range of academic and teaching responsibilities, including teaching English language courses in various fields such as Phonetics, Composition (Academic Writing), Reading Comprehension, and Second Language Acquisition. I have also prepared and developed lectures, instructional materials, and classroom activities in line with approved course descriptions and academic plans, employing diverse teaching methods and strategies that address students' needs and varying levels of proficiency.

In addition, I have participated in preparing, correcting, and grading exams, assignments, and assessment activities, as well as recording student results, monitoring their academic progress, and providing them with the necessary guidance and support. Furthermore, I have contributed to examination duties and various academic tasks, and collaborated with colleagues to support the quality of the educational process and achieve the intended learning outcomes.

Careers

I began my academic career in 2017, working as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of English Language, Faculty of Education – Isbe'a, Al-Jafara University. During my tenure at the university, I continued my academic and educational path by enrolling in a postgraduate program to obtain a Master's degree (High Diploma) in English Language, which I was awarded in 2023. Based on obtaining my Master's degree, my job title was changed to Assistant Lecturer effective April 1, 2024, during which I continued carrying out my academic and teaching duties in the Department of English Language, Faculty of Education –Isbe'a , Al-Jafara University. As part of my career and academic development, I was transferred on June 23, 2026, to the Department of English Language, Faculty of Education – Janzour, where I continue my academic and teaching career as a faculty member.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the field of Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), with a focus on several related areas, most notably Second Language Acquisition, methods and strategies for teaching English, the development of learners' language skills, individual differences in language learning, and the factors influencing second language learning and acquisition. My research interests also encompass Phonetics, Psycholinguistics, and Sociolinguistics, as well as teaching pronunciation and enhancing oral communication skills among English language learners. In addition, I am interested in employing modern technologies and e-learning in English language teaching, and in developing instructional practices that contribute to improving the quality of language learning and meeting learners' needs across various educational levels

External Activities

Among my extracurricular activities is my work in the field of English language training, where I serve as an English language trainer at Goat Academy, a remote/online learning platform. In this role, I contribute to delivering training courses for learners of various levels, with a focus on developing English communication skills and employing modern teaching methods and strategies that suit learners' needs. I also participate in preparing and developing educational materials and activities, monitoring learners' progress, and providing them with appropriate feedback. In addition, I make a point of participating in training programs, workshops, and professional activities related to English language teaching and applied linguistics, with the aim of developing my professional and academic competence and keeping up with current trends in the field of language teaching.
