Marwa Bahjat Sweidan is a faculty member in the Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Education, Tripoli. She works as a lecturer and researcher in the Computer Science Department. Through her work in the department and the faculty, Ms. Marwa Sweidan supervises graduation projects. She also works in several committees at the faculty level, including the Faculty’s Scientific Committee. In addition, she is a member of the editorial board of the Faculty of Education Magazine, Tripoli.
Careers
Before joining the Faculty of Education, Tripoli, University of Tripoli, Dr. Marwa Sweidan after graduated in 2004 worked at the postgraduate Office in Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli. Then, she done a master’s degree in Computer Science in 2010 from the Faculty of Science, University of Tripoli, and collaborated as lecturer with the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Tripoli. In 2010. She joined the Computer Department at the College of Education, Tripoli, University of Tripoli in 2011, then she obtained a PhD in Databases from the International Islamic University in Malaysia in 2021. She now works as a lecturer and head of the computer department at the College of Education, Tripoli
Research Interests
The research interests include preference queries, skyline queries, crowdsourcing databases, query processing and optimization and management of incomplete data, and social networks.
External Activities
cooperated with the Center for Postgraduate Studies and Training at the University of Tripoli as a trainer for the IC3 certificate in a group of training courses for the employees of the University of Tripoli. I also provided a number of training courses in office programs for a number of data entry personnel affiliated with the Education Monitoring Department in the Municipality of Souq al-Juma. I cooperated with the Libyan Society for Educational Sciences as the head of the electronic committee in some scientific conferences and as a referee for research submitted to the Libyan Journal of Educational Sciences.
