Touraya Ashour AtaAlah is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Tripoli. She plays a pivotal role in both academic and administrative spheres, serving as an undergraduate project supervisor, a member of the Student Admission Committee, and a jury member for graduation projects. She also leads the department’s Special Needs Committee and actively contributes to the Study and Examinations Department Committee.
With a strong foundation in architecture and urban design, She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the University of Greenwich, UK, complementing her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Planning. Her professional background encompasses a wide range of projects—from master planning to detailed design—executed within renowned architectural practices.
Touraya is a passionate and creative designer whose interests span cities, architecture, objects, and landscapes. In her academic role, she mentors students in urban design studios and other core subjects, fostering critical thinking and innovation. Her dedication to both education and design reflects her significant contributions to the advancement of architectural and urban planning disciplines.

Coordinator of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Office, at the Department of Architecture( University of Tripoli). and Coordinator of the administration office, at the Department of Architecture. A member of the committee to host students displaced by the war.( Architectural department /university of Tripoli). Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning (assigned for a period) Member of both the student admission committee and the jury committee of graduation projects at the Department of Architecture. She is the coordinator of the department's Special Needs Committee.
Member of evaluation committees for architectural design competitions –( Cooperative member- Tripoli) . member of the organized and logistic committees and participated in different events and workshops about Architecture Engineering, Energy efficiency, urban development, immigration, develop school curricula.
Research Interests
Assistant Prof.T.AtaAlah has published papers in Architecture, the education field, as well as urban design and planning subjects.
External Activities
- Cooperated in Open lectures to support awareness of sustainable urban design and Sustainable Architecture.
- Documentation of the fabric of the city- Documentation of existing buildings: Survey & Produced drawings and specifications ..2d & 3d.
- Architectural and urban designer and planner for different projects.
- Rescue Committee for students affected by the war crisis ( Education affairs).
- Member of Technical Committee specialized in the field of energy efficiency specifications, ( Libyan National Center for Standardization and Metrology).
