  • ·        More than 20 years of teaching and researching in the field of communication Engineering at different universities.
  • ·        Worked with the committees of the UoT and the Libyan Ministry of Education as well as the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutes (NCQAAETIs) in the areas/fields of strategic planning, quality assurance in higher education, academic accreditation, and the ranking of Libyan universities.
  • ·        Strong understanding of RF circuits, electromagnetic, antennas, electronics, MEMS, MMICs theory.
  • ·        Extensive experience in design, fabrication, and on-wafer characterization of MMICs, MEMS and millimeter-wave active and passive devices with ultra-high frequency and ultra-low power.
  • ·        Proficient in developing fabrication process of MMICs and integrated 3-D MEMS systems using both e-beam and photo lithography tools
  • ·        Practical experience in laboratory tools of micro- and nanofabrication using a range of clean room technologies.
  • ·        Practical experience of using electrical characterization tools including semiconductor parameter analyzers and vector network analyzers in the evaluation of antenna , transmission line and MMICs.
  • ·        Strong skills in using EM software as ADS, HFSS and matlab.
  • ·        Numerous publications on integrated antenna, planer transmission line , radar , wireless power transfer and integrated MEMS switches.

Research Interests

• Integrated Micromachined passive and active sub-millimeter wave components: this include developing fabrication technology, designing different topology suitable for MMICs integration, examining new and more efficient techniques to enhance the performance.

• Reconfigurable passive components at sub-millimeter wave region: Developing integrated terahertz metamaterial passive elements such as reconfigurable antennas, filters, capacitors and inductors for different operation bands using low actuation voltage MEMS.

• Transmission Lines: Building more complicated 3-D structure transmission lines to enhance a high-level integration of several passive components and reduce the substrate moding effect.

• Low voltage MEMS: Developing low actuation voltage (MMICs compatible bias voltages) MEMS technology.
