       Prof. Khadija Fshika is one of the faculty members in the French Language Department at the Faculty of Languages. Ms. Khadija Ifsheekah has been working full-time at the University of Tripoli as an Assistant Professor since 09-07-2003, and she has many scientific publications and research contributions in her field of specialization.

Research Interests

       Prof. Fshika's research interests focus mainly on the general discipline (Theoretical Linguistics), and the precise (Applied Linguistics). Specifically the educational practices of teaching/learning the French language. Her research in master's thesis was based on analyzing the discourse of language separation at the University of Tripoli, and her interests in doctoral thesis extended to analyzing teaching strategies and teachers' patterns. She is currently interested in studying the return of the French language to the secondary stage and the difficulties that teachers encounter in using the new curriculum. She will also issue a research paper soon for the qualification of a university professor in the field of the French language. Prof. Fshika is currently writing a systematic textbook in French for children.

External Activities

  • Since 2007, Prof. Fshika  has contributed  with the General Center for Training and Development of Teachers in preparing training courses for teachers of the French language.
  • Cooperated with the Center of Curriculum and Educational Research as a coordinator for the committee to adapt and revise the French textbook Pixel 1.
  • In 2019, she served as the national coordinator between the Ministry of Education and the French Embassy in Libya for a project to restore the French language for secondary education.
  • In January 2021, she participated in the joint meetings between the University of Tripoli and the Institute for Contemporary Maghreb Research (IRMC), and the launch of training courses on “Young Research in the Humanities as a Tool for Development in Libya.”
  • Prof. Fshika works as a volunteer in several charities and civil society organizations.
