. Dr.. Muhammad Salama is a faculty member in the Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Arts, Tripoli. Mr. Dr. works. Muhammad Salama at the University of Tripoli, as a professor since 2 September-2021 AD, and has many scientific publications in the field of his precise specialization, linguistic studies.

Position: Lecturer, former head of the Arabic Language Department, and former head of the department’s Graduate Studies Committee.

Administrative and scientific tasks and functions:

- In the year 2013 AD, I was assigned to coordinate the teaching of the Arabic language subject for the departments of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tripoli.

- I was assigned to be one of the members of the scientific committee in charge of the Arabic Language Department to review the course guide and study hours in the Arabic Language Department.

- One of the members of the technical committee responsible for reviewing methodological textbooks, which is a committee assigned by the Center for Educational Curricula and Educational Research of the Ministry of Education, with the aim of reviewing and developing Arabic language curricula.

- Head of the Department (Quality and Performance) at the College of Arts in 2013.

- Member of the editorial board of (Al-Lisan Al-Mubin) magazine, issued by the Arabic Language Department at the College of Arts, from 2013 AD until the date of preparing this biography.

- In the year 2014 AD, I was assigned by the Department of Graduate Studies to review master’s theses and doctoral dissertations for non-specialists. Linguistically and stylistically.

- Director of the Office of Faculty Affairs at the College of Arts, 2015 AD.

- Member of the Joint Scientific Committee for Postgraduate Studies between the Faculties of Languages and Arts between the years: 2017-2019.

- From November 2017 to March 2018, I was assigned the duties of (study and examination coordinator in the department).

- Head of the Arabic Language Department from March 2018 to November 2020.

- General supervisor of (Al-Lisan Al-Mubin) magazine between the years: 2018 AD - 2020 AD.

- Chairman of the Department’s Graduate Studies Committee, for two years: 2018-2020.

- Member and rapporteur of the Linguistic Safety Committee, affiliated with the Libyan Arabic Language Academy, from May 2019 until the date of writing this biography.

- Auditor and linguistic advisor at the Ministry of Finance from March 2020 to May 2022.

Careers

I studied basic education at Al-Hamidiyah School in Tajoura, and obtained my primary certificate in 1983 AD.

The preparatory stage was at Al-Marawna School in Tajoura. Where I obtained my preparatory certificate in 1986 AD.

- I obtained the general secondary school certificate - the literary section - in 1989 AD, from the Seventh of April School in Tajoura (formerly) - Tripoli.

- In the year 1987 AD, I joined the private Qur’anic corner of Sidi Ali Al-Tashani in Tajoura, where I memorized the Holy Qur’an, at the hands of the distinguished educator Sheikh: Al-Fitouri Hassan Al-Tashani, in the year 1992 AD. I also learned a share of the provisions of recitation of the Qur’an, and some of the sciences of Islamic law such as jurisprudence, inheritance, and belief. In the various religious lesson sessions held in the aforementioned corner.

- I joined the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Languages, Department of Arabic Language, years: 1989-1990 AD.

- I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and literature in 1993.

- I joined postgraduate studies, and obtained a postgraduate diploma from the College of Languages, Arabic Language Department, Linguistic Studies Division, year: 1996 AD.

- I registered a subject to complete the requirements for obtaining a higher degree (Master’s) in linguistic studies, and I obtained it in the year: 1999 AD from the College of Languages - Department of Arabic Language.

· I registered - at my own expense - at the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo a subject to obtain a doctorate degree in linguistic and literary sciences (pragmatic and stylistic), and I obtained the required degree with honors, on: 07-18-2007 AD.

· I was sent to study in the Syrian Arab Republic at the expense of the Libyan state. To prepare for the precise degree in linguistic sciences (grammar, morphology, and semantics), I obtained the required degree in a public discussion, and the thesis was approved, on May 21, 2012 AD, from the University of Damascus - Faculty of Arts - Department of Arabic Language and Literature.

Internal and external scientific participations and activities:

I participated in preparing research papers, conducting scientific sessions, chairing scientific conferences, and membership in the following activities:

- A permanent member of the coordination of the celebration of International Arabic Language Day.

- Participated in many scientific conferences and seminars; Local, Arab and international; Of which:

- The Eighth International Conference of the Union of Arabic Language Teachers in Indonesia, held at Imam Banjul Islamic University in Padang, Indonesia, in August 2013.

- The international conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia, October 2013.

- Conferences: the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth, supervised and organized by the International Council for the Arabic Language in the United Arab Emirates, in a semi-regular, fixed period of time, from: May 7-10 of each year. I participated in all of the aforementioned conferences with research papers that were published in the journals of the aforementioned conferences.

- The First International Conference on the Arabic Language in the Libyan city of Al-Bayda, sponsored by Omar Al-Mukhtar University, in August 2018.

- The first scientific conference for teachers. Tajoura in 2017 AD, I was a member of the linguistic committee to review the research papers submitted to the conference, and I also chaired one of its sessions.

- Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Second Scientific Conference for Teachers. Tajoura in 2019 AD.

- The First Scientific Conference of the College of Arts, under the slogan (The Role of the Human Sciences in Addressing Community Issues), held in May 2015.

- I participated in several research papers in peer-reviewed journals. They are: (Journal of the Asmariya Islamic University) in Zliten - Libya, (Journal of Social Sciences) at the University of Tripoli - Libya, (Journal of the Faculty of Languages) of the University of Tripoli, and the Journal of the Faculty of Arts. University of Tripoli, and (Al-Tibyan Magazine) in the Department of Islamic Studies. University of Tripoli, (Al-Lisan Al-Mubin Magazine) issued by the Arabic Language Department - College of Arts at the University of Tripoli, and (Al-Bayna Magazine) issued by the Arabic Language Department at the College of Languages. University of Tripoli, Journal of the College of Arts at the University of Tripoli, Journal of the College of Arts Al-Asabaa at Gharyan University, Magazine (Wahi Al-Andalus) issued by the Libyan Andalusian Society in Tripoli.

- I participated and attended the annual celebrations held at the University of Tripoli, sponsored by the Arabic Language Department, to celebrate Libyan personalities. Literary and linguistic; Who had a prominent role in cultural, educational and pedagogical life. In the year 2013 AD, the month of June was the celebration of Sheikh Abdul Salam Khalil, may God have mercy on him, and in the year 2014 AD, the month of June, the personality was Professor Dr. Muhammad Sufiya, may God Almighty have mercy on him, and in this celebration I was a member of the coordination committee for the celebration. And also participated in a research paper.

- Founding member of the Libyan Association for the Defense of Arabic, which was announced and publicized in Tajoura - Tripoli: 2016 AD, then it was approved at the first conference of Maghreb associations in Nouakchott in 2017 AD.

- Member of the preparatory committee for the scientific symposium that will be held about the late Dr. Muhammad Al-Monsef Abdullah Al-Qamati in November 2021 AD.
