Roles
Coordinator of the Entomology Division of the Department of Zoology, with a focus on teaching courses, supervising students' graduation projects, discussing some projects for students' graduation, academic supervision (cards) for students in the Department of Zoology, and monitoring exams in the College of Science. Teaching courses at the Faculty of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir, and the Faculty of Education, Tripoli, and teaching the animal science course for the preparatory stage at the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as supervising scientific trips (fields) for the courses that were taught in the Department of Zoology.
Careers
Before joining the university, she worked in the education sector as a teacher in primary schools from 1995 to 1997, then as a secondary school teacher from 1998-2007, and as a collaborator with the College of Human Medicine, College of Education, College of Education, Qasr Bin Ghashir - Tripoli, Higher Institute of Health - Zahra 2007- 2008, then a collaborator with the Zawia College of Human Medicine and the College of Dentistry - University of Sabratha 2019, and now a faculty member with the degree of Lecturer (PhD) in the Department of Zoology - College of Science - the University of Tripoli from 2008 to date.
Research Interests
Interest in the field of spiders, insects and invertebrates in general, the biodiversity of spiders and their definition in some areas of the northwestern coast of Libya, the importance of spiders in the biological control of fruit flies in some areas of the northwestern coast of Libya, and the development of taxonomic keys for spiders and flies that are related to the criminal aspect, and the vital enemies of honey bees Poisonous spiders in Libya, their medical impact in Libya, and pathological conditions in the dermatology departments of Libyan hospitals.
External Activities
Participation in the biological control program with real spiders for fruit flies of the National Center for Biotechnology, as well as training students and teaching them how to define spiders, as well as attending and participating in scientific and medical conferences such as The Second Conference of Basic Sciences, Tripoli, Libya (2007), and the Libyan Women’s Conference for Modern Studies (LWCRS-2021) The Seventh Libyan Conference for Medical Sciences. (SLCMS-2022).
