Sports rehabilitation research is constantly focused on improving athletic performance and reducing injury risk. Our role is therefore focused on building the knowledge and skills necessary to implement rehabilitation programs that return athletes to optimal physical fitness. In doing so you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in a sports environment and exercise through a work placement.

Objectives

1- Preparing researchers in the field of physical education and related sciences and raising the level of rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and sports medicine through scientific research

2- Improving the level of critical thinking and analytical thinking of students that adds to scientific knowledge in order to assist in research related to rehabilitation and physical therapy related to local and regional needs.

3- Keeping abreast of global scientific and technical developments and issues and scientific problems facing the community in rehabilitation and physiotherapy and working to find solutions to them.

4- Preparing researchers and professors with a high level of technical and scientific capabilities who are scientifically qualified to become experts in their various fields of specialization to communicate with the corresponding scientific and research institutions internally and externally

5- Conducting research and studies in various fields of rehabilitation and physical therapy, in a way that contributes to community service

Outcomes

The targeted learning outcomes of the program are as follows:

In knowledge and understanding to understand the systems  of the basic aspects of laws, regulations, and ethical principles in the profession of rehabilitation and physiotherapy and to recognize the modern techniques used for scientific and practical programs in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy and the applications of the principles of diagnostic skills and evaluation in the treatment of injuries and diseases and  How to link theoretical and practical experiences and practices related to the practice of the profession of rehabilitation and physiotherapy and understand how to deal safely in the practice of the profession and know the best way to solve professional problems through scientific research in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

In the aspect of mental skills: The researcher analyzes between knowledge and information and how to plan while practicing the profession of rehabilitation and physiotherapy and realizes the various assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills and how to deal with the injured and patients. It also differentiates between the effect of the therapeutic methods used on the different body systems based on the condition of the patient or injured person, the type of disease or injury, all information on the body's tissues and various organs, and the normal anatomical and functional limits.  In addition to the concepts and scientific foundations and modern and technological trends in the rehabilitation and treatment of patients and how to monitor the improvement of cases.

As for the practical and professional skills: the researcher performs the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the profession of physiotherapy.  It designs and implements rehabilitation programs appropriate to the needs of beneficiaries in the field of rehabilitation and physiotherapy and applies the skills of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment with injured patients. To be able to link the theoretical and practical experiences and practices of practicing the profession of physiotherapy and rehabilitation with scientific research at the international level.  And the use of the results of studies and research in the development of physical therapy and rehabilitation

In the aspect of general and transferable skills: the researcher is able to apply the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the physiotherapy profession.  Demonstrate competence in the practice of motor rehabilitation and physiotherapy as well as the use of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and treatment skills and how to deal with injured and sick people.  Linking theoretical and practical experiences and practices related to the practice of the profession of physical therapy and rehabilitation and safe dealing in the practice of the profession of rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

Certificate Rewarded

The graduate is awarded a higher studies certificate (Master's degree) in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy

Entry Reuirements

  • The researcher must have a first university degree (bachelor) or equivalent certificates recognized by the Standing Committee for Equivalence of Academic Qualifications.
  • · Students holding higher diplomas may be accepted, provided they complete the university courses (remedial or complementary) that are determined by the department as indicated in this regulation.
  • The applicant must have graduated from the university level (Bachelor’s) for a period of not less than one academic year.
  • Admission priority is given to teaching assistants who are candidates for postgraduate studies from universities and higher education institutions, according to the capacity of the scientific departments of the college, without burdening them with an admission exam and comparison.
  • Priority for admission is given to students nominated by public authorities based on approved and valid agreements, and other candidates from public authorities, who undergo admission and selection exams according to the procedures specified in these regulations.
  • Admission priority is given to (3) three top students in each scientific department of the college for the fall and spring semesters, without making them take the entrance exam and the comparison.
  • Foreign students may be admitted, and their admission procedures are subject to agreements concluded between the university and other regional or international institutions.
  • Provide evidence of the employer's approval - for workers - to devote themselves to study, partially or completely.
  • · The researcher must pass the admission and comparison exams in the scientific and linguistic study requirements specified in this regulation.
