Ministry of Higher Education Urges Energy Conservation in Educational Institutions

The Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued an urgent circular addressed to university presidents, the President of the Libyan Academy, and the heads and directors of bodies, centers, and departments affiliated with the ministry, calling for immediate measures to reduce electricity consumption during the summer season.

The circular, signed by Minister , emphasizes the importance of turning off all non-essential electrical devices at the end of official working hours. This excludes only vital equipment and machinery that must remain operational. The goal is to alleviate pressure on the national power grid and contribute to its stability during peak demand months.

This directive comes as part of the ministry's commitment to national efforts aimed at addressing the ongoing electricity crisis in the country during the summer and ensuring uninterrupted service for all citizens.
