The Agricultural Engineering Division was established in 1976 AD as one of the five divisions that make up the Plant Production Department, and it was transformed into an independent department in 1978 AD.
The department provided advice on agricultural guidance programs, mechanization of palm and olive trees, environmental control within agricultural facilities such as greenhouses, poultry sheds, and places for preserving vegetables and fruits, and conducting research within the college.

Dr. Faraj Jbeil is a faculty member in the Agricultural Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Tripoli. Dr. Farag Jubail has been working at the University of Tripoli as an associate professor since 01-20-2009 and has many scientific publications in his field of specialization.
