Dr. Rabya  Lahmar is an Associate Professor in Food Microbiology and Food Safety. She earned her Ph.D. from Bangor University in the United Kingdom in 2013. She has actively contributed to the Program for Strengthening Arab Competencies in Microbiological and Chemical Food Risk Assessment.Dr. Rabya dedicates her efforts to mentoring students by supervising master's research projects and contributes to publishing her research in local and international scientific journals, enhancing scientific understanding in this field. She holds a patent for a natural carbonated beverage free of preservatives and is working on developing food products that meet consumer needs.She is also involved in developing policies related to food safety, having prepared a proposed mechanism for a nutritional survey presented at a workshop with the World Food Program. Dr. Rabya has obtained a certification in Laboratory Management from a Canadian program and has completed advanced courses in uncertainty measurement.Dr. Rabya contributes to enhancing knowledge and innovation in food microbiology and food safety, continuing her efforts to achieve educational and scientific research goals.
