Roles

Professor in the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tripoli, with 40 years of experience  . Dr. Zuhثق bثn Saad is a full-time  professor  for teaching and research.  The primary role is in teaching bachelor's and master's students and as a researcher and supervisor of master's students. He has regularly published scientific papers with colleagues in research centers including the Libyan Center for Biotechnology and the Agricultural Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. Specialized in plant tissue culture and post-harvest physiology. He has published many research papers locally and internationally and contributed to a number of research projects funded by the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research. 

Careers

He was appointed as a teaching assistant in the Department of Horticulture in 1980 and obtained his master's degree in 1985 from the same department and his doctorate in 1996 from the University College Dublin, Ireland.  He joined the department as a lecturer and participated in teaching  of bachelor degree and M. Sc degree until he became   professor in 2014

Research Interests

Research interests in tissue culture, plant propagation and post-harvest physiology

External Activities

Participated in the membership of scientific committees for a number of conferences and specialized seminars.
