Ismail Salem Shawesh, a permanet faculty member in the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty of Languages since the academic year: 2013. Obtained master's degree in applied linguistics from Completense University in Madrid/Spain in 2002. Lecturer in charge of teaching specialized subjects related to linguistic and grammatical aspect, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Language Department since the academic year: 2015-2016. He was assigned the tasks of coordinating studies and exams in the Spanish Language Department and the General Subjects Unit at the Faculty of Languages ​​during the academic year: 2014-2015. And with the tasks of heading the Spanish Language Department during the period from 2016-2022, where he paid great attention to improving and developing the content of the specialized f the study materials, the outputs of the scientific program followed by the department, organizing the administrative and academic workflow in the department, in addition to activating the cultural and scientific activities organized and supervised by the Spanish Language Department, in addition to undertaking academic supervision and supervision of graduation research submitted to obtain a bachelor's degree in the Spanish language.

Careers

2014:  a permanet faculty member in the Spanish Language Department.

2015-2016: Coordinator of studies and exams in the Spanish Language Department and the General Subjects Unit of the Faculty of Languages.

2016-2022: Head of the Spanish Language Department, Faculty of Languages.

2022: scientific promotion to Lecturer degree. 

Research Interests

Researcher in all studies and scientific research related to theories of applied linguistics and its branches, morphology and grammar,  semantics, Methods and methodology of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Certified examiner since 2020 by the Instituto Cervantes to conduct Spanish placement exams for all levels.

Publisher of scientific articles in the Journal of the Faculty of Languages.

External Activities

1- An interpreter from spanish to arabic and vice versa, cooperating with many libyan and spanish public and private institutions.

2- A translator cooperating with many legal translation offices.

3- General coordinator of the Spanish Cultural Center for Languages Education / Libya since 2017.

4- An examiner accredited by the Spanish Cervantes Center to conduct the Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) examinations for all levels.
