Since Dr. Salah Al-Sharda was appointed to the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts in 1998, and before it was called the Faculty of Arts and Media, Dr. Salah Al-Sharda was appointed to the Department of Fine Arts, Drawing and Photography Division. Since then, he has taught drawing and photography subjects, especially those related to portraiture - face painting. Given that the Drawing and Photography Department is one of the founding departments of the college, its subjects are considered basic in the rest of the departments within the college, and one of Dr. Salah Al-Sharda's tasks was to teach basic and secondary subjects for some of the college's departments. Dr. Salah Al-Sharda held the position of Dean of the Faculty Members at the Faculty of Arts and Media from 2007 to 2011. He carried out his duties defending the rights of faculty members within the college.

Dr. Salah Al-Sharda graduated from the College of Fine and Applied Arts in 1988.
He was appointed as a teaching assistant in September 1989.
He obtained his master's degree in 2005.
He obtained the rank of lecturer in 2006.
He obtained his doctorate in 2011.
He obtained the rank of assistant professor in 2023.
Research Interests
Dr. Salah Al-Sharada, as a researcher, is interested in his precise specialization in drawing and photography, as he is a professional visual artist and calligrapher by origin. He is considered one of the most important visual artists in realistic art in Libya. His academic research usually targets visual art, especially Islamic photography, as well as his research on Arabic calligraphy and its aesthetics.
External Activities
Dr. Salah Al-Sharada is a professional plastic artist and his participation in local and international exhibitions dates back to 1982. He is a founding member of the Alif Forum for Arabic Letters, through which he held and organized several exhibitions dealing with Arabic letters. The artist Salah Al-Sharada is considered one of the most important figures who dealt with the depiction of Spanish flamenco art and he has photographed several paintings of scenes from this gypsy art, and his paintings are well received in Spain by specialists and the public.
