Roles
After more than 21 years at the University of Tripoli, Omran Amer Al-Betti started his work as a teaching assistant in the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science. Omran is now working as a full-time faculty member (full-time for teaching and scientific research) after obtaining a master’s and doctoral qualification in his field of specialization, and he is currently an associate professor.
Omran's main roles now are as a lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate students, researcher, supervisor, evaluator, discussant and arbitrator for graduation projects, master's and doctoral dissertations and theses. He has many researches published in his field of specialization in many scientific journals.
Careers
Omran worked at his beginning as a teaching assistant in the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at the University of Tripoli. During that period, he was assigned many functional and scientific tasks. After obtaining a master’s qualification, his status changed to a faculty member in the Accounting Department. Omran now holds a Ph.D. Teaching and scientific research.
Research Interests
Omran published research in a number of refereed scientific journals. His research interests were broad, but focused mainly on developments in the field of accounting, auditing, and auditing that work to develop and raise the level of the profession locally, academically and professionally. He also evaluates many papers and scientific research in his field of specialization.
External Activities
Considering that Omran is a member of the Libyan Accountants and Auditors Association in the category of practicing auditors, he works as an external auditor in the city of Tripoli. He also works as a trainer by giving training courses to accountants and auditors working in public and private institutions.
