Khaled Al-Bashir Abu Zeid holds the rank of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administration. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty.

Careers

Dr. Khaled Bashir Omar Abu Zeid has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administration Tajoura in the Department of Finance and Banking since joining the Faculty in 2022 and teaching subjects in his field of specialization, and he is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration Tajoura.

Before joining the college, he had worked in several government institutions, where he began his career as a teacher of economics at Khadija Al-Kubra High School for Economic Sciences, then he was elected a member of the Tajoura Municipal Council for the industrial sector, and during that period he was assigned to economics, finance, education and the municipality deanship.

He also worked as a faculty member at Al-Zaytoonah University and served as head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, then director of the Office of Graduate Studies and Graduates at the Faculty of Commerce, and then delegated to the Ministry of Higher Education and assigned to head the audit office at the Ministry's office.

Then he joined the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Sharia Sciences, Tajoura, and served as Head of the Department of Islamic Economics and then Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs.

Research Interests

He has interests in scientific research through research papers published in a number of journals and conferences such as the Journal of Economics and Commerce, the Journal of Knowledge of Al-Zaytoonah University, the Third Agricultural Economics Conference and the Scientific Conference on the High Prices of Food Commodities and the Challenges of Food Security in Libya.
