  Fatima Tumi is a university lecturer at the University of Tripoli - Faculty of Education/ Janzour. Fatima specializes in Applied Linguistics and she teaches subjects such as varieties of English, teaching strategies, phonetics and phonology, writing, reading, vocabulary development, and presentation skills. Also, she works as a supervisor and an examiner for research projects. As a teacher trainer, Fatima develops training courses for teachers of primary and secondary. She has been working as an EFL teacher for more than twenty years from being a secondary school teacher to a university instructor. Fatima has some published and unpublished researches.

Careers

In 2013, Fatima began her work as a faculty member in the English Department. Fatima taught several subjects and supervised many free researches for university students. In addition, Fatima works as an academic supervision to follow-up students' performance. Moreover, she worked as the head of the English department for two years.

Research Interests

The main focus of the researches is on teaching English as a foreign language strategy and assessment. Moreover, she worked as the head of the English language department at the College of Janzour for about two years in which she was responsible for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with the Faculty and the University's strategies and plans and direction. Fatima is looking forward to helping future EFL teachers in developing their teaching.

External Activities

Besides being a university lecturer, Fatima is an official trainer in the General Center of Development Education and Training.
