Full University Professor and Staff member of computer Engineering Department - Tripoli. Nuredin Ahmed received his Ph.D. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 2011 from the University of Glasgow.
He is an experienced Researcher, Educator and Professor with a demonstrated history of working with Libyan universities on applied sciences. His main research interests are Embedded systems, Wireless sensors Networks with a recent focus on Internet of Things and Smart Grids. His teaching philosophy is based on the foundation of his educational experience combined with practical life experience and use intuitive examples related to real world issues to illustrate the basic laws under them.
Dr. Ahmed served as Head of Department of Computer Engineering from 2011 to 2013 at Azzaytuna University. He was a general manager of projects and technical affairs administration at Azzaytuna University. Served as a minister of Electricity and renewable energy from 2014 to 2015. finally he was the head of Higher Education Office at Collage of Computer Technology - Tripoli.

- In 2014, served Nuredin as Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy and a member of several ministerial committees.
- Participated in many local and international scientific conferences as a scientific technical member and as reviewer of research papers relatedto his speciality. He also conducted many diverse training workshops in his field of specialization.
- A prominent member of civil society organisations, most notably - a founder and a member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Development Track Organization.
