The master's program in entomology provides advanced knowledge about beneficial and harmful insects and how to benefit from them in practice in various related fields.

Objectives

- Introduce students to the diversity of insects and their habitats, and have them create insect collections that reflect the diversity of insects found in Libya. - Identify harmful insects and their medical importance. - Students can identify some insects to the species level

- Students can understand insect habitats.

Outcomes

Students who obtain their master's degree in entomology can: - identify insects that are important economically and medically.

- link insects to their natural habitat

Entry Reuirements

Obtaining a bachelor's degree in zoology or related fields.

Passing a differentiation exam for applicants in case the number of applicants is greater than the capacity of the division.

Study Plan

The Master in Entomology prepares students to qualify for Master in Entomology . The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

It comprises 6 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 30 units, which include 3 units of general subjects, and 9 major units, 9 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
