Jamal Ahmed Zariba is one of the faculty members in the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy at the College of Physical Education, with the academic degree of “Professor”. Mr. Jamal Zariba works at the University of Tripoli as a professor for the course on the concepts of disability and educational integration at the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels. He is a supervisor and discussant for many scientific researches and has many scientific publications. In his field of specialization internally and externally.

Careers

Mr. Jamal Ahmed Zariba progressed in his career from a teaching assistant in 1989 to the rank of professor in 2017 and held many administrative and scientific positions, including head of the Rehabilitation Department, dean of the college, coordinator of cultural relations and international cooperation, founder and head of the Scientific Research and Consultations Center at the college, and seconded to the Ministry of Education as head of the Studies and Research Department in the Special Categories Administration.

Research Interests

Mr. Jamal Ahmed Zariba views rehabilitation as an integrated process with physical, psychological and social aspects. Thus, his research interests and scientific activity are determined by the following axes:

Educational integration as a method for rehabilitating children with disabilities.

Early intervention for children with motor difficulties.

The elderly who suffer from motor difficulties due to aging and illness.

Athletes who have motor difficulties due to injury.

Health factors associated with physical activity, especially environmental factors affecting practice.

Stature mechanics and changes associated with static and dynamic positions.

External Activities

Mr. Jamal Ahmed Zariba has contributions and activities outside the university, including international, regional and local ones. He obtained membership in the International Society of Critics in 2009 and is based in France. He also contributed to establishing the Union of Arab Academics and Scientists in Amman in 2018 and was a member of the Board of Directors. He also served as coordinator of the National Strategy Development Committee. for the rights of persons with disabilities at the National Institute for Economic Planning 2020. As well as membership in many civil society institutions. He also served as Head of the Education and Integration Department at the Education and Integration Office for Special Groups at the Ministry of Education between 2009-2012.
