Mohamed Abushhiwa is currently working as a professor in the Department of Surgery and Theriogenology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tripoli. He has taught surgery, anesthesia and radiology since the 1st September  2010. During this period, he was appointed the head of the Department Surgery and Theriogenology, the head of the quality and performance evaluation department in his faculty, chairman of the college’s curricula and strategies committee, member of the cooperation agreement committee with the Biotechnology  research Center (BTRC) and chairman of the cooperation agreement committee with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as many scientific research papers in various scientific journals

Careers

Mohamed Abushhiwa is currently a professor in the Department of Surgery and Theriogenology. He was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the year 1999, and then he was rewarded a scholarship from the Libyan Government in 2003 to study Master and PhD and rewarded a Master in Veterinary Studies (MVS) in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging form the University of Melbourne, Australia and rewarded PhD in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2009 from the same University. Since 2010 Prof. Abushhiwa works as a lecturer in the college and through his scientific research in his field of specialization he was promoted to his current degree.

Research Interests

Professor Mohamed Abushhiwa is an active researcher, as he has many researches published in several international journals. Professor Abushhiwa is interested in working on research related to surgery, anesthesia and radiology, especially fractures in young animals and lameness affections in horses.
