Abstract

This retrospective study included the cases of diaphragmatic hernia (DH) in four female cats which recorded in the Veterinary clinic of the University of Tripoli from August 2011 to August 2013. All cats had the history of severe trauma and were presented with sever tachypnea and dyspnea. Lain and contrast radiographs showed a partial or complete loss of diaphragmatic outline which is considered as characteristic radiological finding for (DH). tHE CURRENT STUDY SHOW THAT THERE IS a significant incidence of (DH) in cats which has not been previously reported in Libya due to the absence of diagnostic imaging facilities required to diagnose this condition.
