Dr. Amjed Basheer Al-Tabbal is a lecturer in the Department of Visual Arts, where he teaches various courses related to photography and video editing. Since joining the university, he has taken on several academic and administrative roles, including Quality Coordinator for the department, reflecting his commitment to developing and enhancing academic programs and ensuring the highest educational standards are met.

He has also served as the Coordinator of the Photography and Editing Unit, overseeing the organization and implementation of the curriculum for this unit, which has provided students with a comprehensive educational experience combining both theoretical and practical aspects of photography and video editing. In addition, he has extensive practical experience, having worked as a photographer and editor on numerous media and artistic projects.

Dr. Amjed has also contributed to the academic field by publishing several research papers on advanced topics in photography and video editing, showcasing his strong passion for academic research and professional development. This passion is also evident in his teaching, where he strives to create an engaging learning environment that fosters innovation and critical thinking among his students.

Careers

Dr. Amjed Al-Tabbal graduated from the College of Arts in 2006 and was appointed as a Teaching Assistant in the department in 2007, where he began his academic journey with dedication and ambition. Committed to developing his skills and knowledge, he pursued further studies and obtained his Master’s degree from the United States, adding an international dimension to his academic expertise.

Subsequently, Dr. Amjed sought to achieve greater academic excellence and earned his PhD from Cairo University in 2018. Following this, he returned to the university to continue his professional career as a faculty member, where he significantly contributed to curriculum development, supervised academic research, and enhanced the quality of education within the department.

Dr. Amjed Al-Tabbal has published numerous research papers in journals indexed in the Scopus database, along with several papers in peer-reviewed local journals. His research focuses on topics related to the educational field, addressing various issues aimed at enhancing the educational process and developing visual arts curricula in line with the latest advancements in this discipline.
