Before joining the University of Tripoli, ABDUSSALAM ELALEM held many positions, which can be listed as follows: -

- Head of the Accounts and Budget Department at the National Company for Maintenance and Equipment (2002 - 2003)

- Director of Internal Audit at the National Company for Maintenance and Equipment (2004 - 2005)

- Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department at the National Maintenance and Equipment Company (2005 - 2006)

- Economic Advisor to the General Economic Administration of the General People’s Committee previously (2006 - 2010)

Research Interests

ABDUSSALAM ELALEM has many research papers in his field of specialization. These research papers have been published in local journals, and he also has many research papers under publication.

External Activities

He has many participations in periodic conferences in which he participated in his field of specialization, especially in the field of Takaful insurance, international investment, and investment in general. He also represented his country in many economic and international conferences in Arab and foreign countries.
