Ms. Hajir Khalifa Aburekhis studied at the Faculty of Education, University of Tripoli, starting in the academic year 2008–2009. She graduated from the same institution and obtained a Bachelor's degree in English in 2012. She was appointed as a teaching assistant in the English Department in 2013 and continued her studies by joining postgraduate programs in 2015. She earned her Master’s degree in English in 2019 and became a full-time faculty member in 2022. She has worked in several educational institutions, including:

Careers

Ms. Hajir Khalifa Abukhis has worked first as a teaching assistant and later as a faculty member in the English Department at the Faculty of Education, University of Tripoli. during this period, she has carried out several significant contributions within the department, including:

• Teaching a variety of courses: She has taught a wide range of foundational and advanced English courses, contributing to the academic development of the students.

• Supervising graduation projects: She has supervised more than thirty graduation projects, providing students with the necessary guidance and support to successfully complete their research.

• Scientific research: She has participated in the preparation and publication of several academic papers in the field of English language, including a study on the challenges faced by teachers when teaching English to medical students.

• Participation in academic activities: She was a member of the examination oversight committee at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tripoli, and contributed to the review of several research papers at Al-Hadera University for Applied and Human Sciences. She also worked as the study and exam coordinator in the English Department during the Fall 2024 semester.

Research Interests

Ms. Hajer Aburkhis has conducted several research studies in the field of her specialization, one of which was "The main problems facing teachers when teaching English to medical students". Additionally, she has supervised over thirty graduation projects for both male and female students in the field of English language teaching.

External Activities

Ms. Hajer Aburkhis has worked as a reviewer for a number of research studies in the field of English language at Al-Hadara University for Applied Sciences and Humanities. In addition to her teaching position, she also had the opportunity to participate in teaching medical terminology to medical and science students at Tripoli University. Furthermore, she was part of the examination supervision committee at the Faculty of Human Medicine, Tripoli University.She received a certificate of attendance and participation in the First International Conference on English Language Development, organized by the International College of Languages in 2025
