Fawzia Elwafi is a faculty member at the Department of English, Faculty of Education, University of Tripoli.
She is currently working as a lecturer in the Department of English. Fawzia has taught several courses, including applied linguistics, methods of teaching, theoretical linguistics 1 and 2, varieties, teaching English to young Learners, teaching strategies 1 and 2, and teaching language skills: such as reading, writing, advanced listening and speaking. In addition to her teaching and administrative duties, she was assigned as the department’s coordinator for the teaching practice. Moreover, she worked as a supervisor for trainee teachers in schools، study and exams coordinator and head of department.
Fawzia has supervised a number of graduation projects.
She was assigned as an academic supervisor to advise and assist novice students throughout their learning journey.
Fawzia has performed other roles as the Alumni unit coordinator and has also contributed to the work of the electronic archiving system for the office of faculty members.
Careers
Fawzia Elwafi worked as an administrative employee at Libya Holding Company, from 2006 to 2011, and after obtaining her master’s degree in 2010, she worked as a part-time lecturer at the Department of English, Faculty of Education, Tripoli, University of Tripoli in 2011. She was appointed as an assistant lecturer in the same department in 2012, and Fawzia has been promoted to lecturer in 2021.
Research Interests
Fawzia’s research interests focus on learning and teaching English as a foreign language, learning and teaching strategies and methods, e-learning, and the use of technology in teaching
