Appointment as a demonstrator in 1-1-1978 after upon obtaining a BSc degree in 1977 in nuclear engineering from the USA – Obtaining an MSc degree from the USA - Obtaining an PhD degree from the UK

Research Interests

o   Modelling and simulation of nuclear power plants and research reactors with more interest in new generation reactor concepts

o   Monte Carlo simulation of radiation detectors, linear accelerators in medical physics

o   Writing of two books in Arabic and English titled:

1.    Nuclear Reactor Theory, in Arabic, Center of scientific research, 2004.

2.    Neutron Transport: Theory, Modelling, and computations, (in English), Springer Publishing, 2023.

 

External Activities

• Director of the Libyan Atomic Energy Establishment (2012-2020)
•  Attendance of several meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences on various aspects of nuclear energy and other aspects locally and in the Arab countries
•  Attendance of several meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency during my assignment at the Libyan Atomic energy Establishment
