The student studies a set of issues that include various topics (political, economic, social, religious, cultural, civilized) for the period of medieval history (from the advent of Islam to the conquest of Constantinople) according to a chronological sequence of events. To  enhance understanding of Islamic civilization and its influences.

Objectives

1.       Training researchers and providing them with knowledge of local, regional and global historical, political, economic, social and cultural terms and events.

2.       Establishing a generation of academics and researchers who are scientifically qualified with modern methodology based on the principle of interdisciplinarity. In  order to advance human knowledge, its production, development and dissemination in a manner that serves the entire country.

3.       Providing students with the accurate scientific and methodological foundations f history and training them on modern research methods in the use of sources and documents.

4.       Preparing students in the labor market related to history. For instance  in research centers, in educational institutions, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and in the Ministry of Information.

Qualifying academics specialized medieval history and its importance.

 Preparing researchers specialized in the field of medieval history.

Preparing qualified staff to contribute to the development of society in the field of medieval history, including the history of Islamic civilization.

Entry Reuirements

Obtaining a Master's degree in History.

Employer approval for full-time or part-time study workers.

Submit an original copy of the transcript and the contents of all the courses that the applicant studied at the undergraduate and master’s levels.

Students are accepted according to the priority of their estimates in the first university degree.
