Mr./Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Ahmed Melitan, born in Tripoli in 1982, is a faculty member at the Faculty of Sharia, Tajoura, with the rank of assistant professor. He was assigned to teach some courses in the Islamic Economics Department, such as civil law, contract theory, the purposes of contracts, and the jurisprudence of zakat and endowments, and he supervised many graduation researches. Al-Sayyid cooperated in teaching several other subjects other than this department, including personal status, principles of jurisprudence, terminology of hadith, legal policy, jurisprudential rules, jurisprudence of the Sunnah, jurisprudence of the book, financial transactions, and Islamic economics.

Careers

In 2005 AD, he was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Asmariya Islamic University/Faculty of Sharia/Department of Sharia and Law, then a member of the teaching staff (assistant lecturer then lecturer) there until 2020 AD, then he moved to the University of Tripoli, Faculty of Sharia/Department of Islamic Economics.

Research Interests

He is primarily interested in Sharia and legal research and modern studies.

External Activities

The doctor is interested in providing some legal consultations in state institutions and has several contributions in establishing modern councils in Libyan universities, as well as participating in international and local conferences.
