The Department of Fundamentals of Religion works to form the distinguished Islamic personality in understanding Islam in a deep way, based on the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, and to prepare specialists in them to meet the needs of society. The Department of Fundamentals of Religion achieves very important goals in addition to the general goals achieved by the University of Tripoli and the College of Sharia Sciences, the most important of which are: 1. Providing students with the basic scientific base in Islamic knowledge in its various fields (creed, advocacy, interpretation, and hadith). 2. Providing the student with the scientific and practical skills to be a successful teacher, researcher, and advocate. 3. Serving the community by informing people about matters of their religion and explaining Islam’s position on contemporary issues.4. Preparing the student’s balanced Islamic personality: belief, worship, and behavior, by strengthening the values ​​of belonging to his religion, nation, and homeland, and preserving its security and stability. By completing the graduation requirements of the program, the student will be able to: 1. Reviews the theories and rules related to the origins of belief and advocacy. 2. Learn about the basic principles of the sciences of the Holy Qur’an and the rules of interpretation. 3. He knows the terms of the Noble Hadith and its sources in a specialized manner. 4. He applies the principles of the call to God’s religion with wisdom and good preaching. 5. Uses scientific research skills in preparing appropriate scientific research.6. Utilizes the acquired knowledge and skills to achieve continuous learning and cognitive development in a new and specialized environment. 7. Contributes to serving society by enriching social and cultural values ​​within a sound religious and moral framework. 8. Evaluates the concepts of religion and belief in a sound and scientific manner and contributes to correcting and evaluating them. 9. It confronts contemporary dilemmas and challenges in the field of faith and the principles of religion with argument and proof. 10. He adheres to the Holy Qur’an and the pure Sunnah and cherishes them. 11. He applies the provisions of Sharia and adheres to the principles and ethics of the true religion in performing his job roles and dealing with counterparts at work.
