Dr. Hanan Lotfi Eshamah is a faculty member in the Food Hygiene and Control Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.  Mrs. Hanan Eshamah has been working as an associate professor at the University of Tripoli since 1- 6 - 2021 and has many scientific publications in her field of specialization.

Careers

Dr. Hanan Lotfi Eshamah is a faculty member at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with the rank of Associate Professor Meat Hygiene and its products.  She was nominated as a teaching assistant in the Department of Food Hygiene and Control in 2003 in the department.  She achieved a master’s degree in 2010 and a PhD in 2013 from Clemson University - South Carolina - USA.  Since that time, she joined the teaching and research process at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.  She progressed from the degree of lecturer until she achieved the degree of associate professor in 2021.  During that period, she held several positions in the faculty, including the course coordinator of Meat Hygiene and head of the Food Hygiene and Control Department.  She currently holds the position of study and examinations coordinator in the department.

Research Interests

Dr. Hanan Eshamah is interested in scientific research related to food safety, especially antibiotic-resistant microbes present in food of animal origin.  She has several scientific publications in local, Arab and international journals, in addition to her activities in attending conferences and internal and external discussion panels, the latest of which is participation in the Committee on Residues of Veterinary Medicines in Food of Animal Origin.

External Activities

Dr. Hanan Lotfi Eshamah reviewed some articles and scientific publications for several scientific journals, including the Journal of the Marine Biology Research Center and the Journal of the Faculty of Agriculture - University of Tripoli, and she participated in the discussion of master's theses at the Faculty of Agriculture - University of Tripoli.  She also provided several scientific consultations to the Research and Consultation Center at the University of Tripoli in her field of specialization.
