Lutfi M. Ben Ali is one of the staff members at the Department of Surgery and Theriogenology, Faculty of Veterinary medicine. He is working as a staff member since 1988. He teaches general and special Surgery for fourth and fifth years. Has several publications in the field of his interest. HE was nominated as head department of Surgery and Obstetric since (2008-2013). Since  2014 till 2017 was involved as chief manager of University staff member office at Veterinary school. In 2017 was nominated as Vic Dean of faculty since 2017 till October  2021. Prof. Lutfi Ben Ali is one of the founder of Libyan veterinary Science Association(1992). He was heavily been involved in arranging of surgery syllabus for the higher veterinary institutes (1996). Ben Ali know full occupies as Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.  

Careers

Shortly after graduation 1st of December 1988 LUTFI M. BEN ALI was selected from many colleges as a Demonstrator ( as Teaching Assistant) at Department of Surgery and Theriroginology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tripoli . In 1994 was appointed as (Lecture Assistant) at the same Department.  In 1997 he was granted a position as ( Lecturer) at the same Department; in 1999 rewarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education for PhD student at University of Cairo, Egypt. In August 2004 Lutfi Ben Ali rejoined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine , Department of Surgery and Therioginology as an Lecturer, and promoted assistant professor in December 2007 ; associate professor in December 2011; and granted a position of  full professor in December 2015 at the same department.  In 2017 when he occupies the Vice Dean place his duties was primarily focused on quality management were acts as reviewer for programmes and modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in field of veterinary syllabus to achieve the requirements of the accreditation. 

Research Interests

Prof. Ben Ali  research interest has largely focused on Surgery of soft tissue  and treatments of fracture specially in companion animals With special chiefly on Periodontal Disease in Small Animal.
